Studio REN is a New Zealand–based architectural studio delivering clear, well-coordinated design solutions across residential, commercial, and public building projects.
The studio is led by a New Zealand Registered Architect with over ten years of professional experience across residential, commercial, and technically complex projects, including education and aquatic facilities delivered within established architectural practices.
Our approach is practical and client-focused. We take time to understand priorities, constraints, and budget, and translate ideas into buildable, well-resolved designs that stand the test of time.
We work closely with trusted consultants and builders to ensure each project is delivered with care, technical rigour, and long-term value in mind.

With over 13 years of professional practice, Sara Nazem founded Studio Ren to deliver architecture that is as highly functional as it is deeply personal.
Sara combines an empathetic, human-centred design approach with top-tier technical authority. Her expertise spans from intimate residential builds and commercial spaces to navigating complex regulatory landscapes, including Resource Consents, land constraint feasibility, and the sympathetic integration of heritage sites. By utilising advanced spatial technology and a forensic approach to building codes, Sara expertly guides her clients through Auckland's demanding planning requirements.
As an architect and a mother, Sara knows that a beautifully designed space must also withstand the realities of daily life. At Studio Ren, she is dedicated to providing a calm, transparent, and rigorous design journey, ensuring every project is legally sound, structurally elegant, and built for the people who call it home.
Chief Technology Officer
Asra Rahimi is a Senior Software Engineer and the Chief Technology Officer at Studio Ren. With a career rooted in system architecture and scalable application development, she leads the firm’s technological vision from concept to production. Asra recognises that modern architecture requires an equally robust digital infrastructure. She is dedicated to bridging complex technology with practical real-world solutions, optimising our digital frameworks to directly empower our architectural deliverables. Her leadership in building these powerful internal systems ensures that Studio Ren manages project data, documentation, and complex site integrations with unparalleled precision, allowing our architectural team to deliver highly efficient and innovative design outcomes.
